Nothing stops Globe rollback of Unlimitxt
Consumer group TXTPower today challenged Globe Telecom to immediately implement its “P90 for six days” offer made at the end of NTC-brockered settlement talks with the group.
“What the talks proved is that Globe can and may change prices if it really wants to and it is patently untrue that new Unlitxt prices cannot be changed,” said TXTPower spokesperson Anthony Ian Cruz.
Cruz said that the NTC’s dismissal of the TXTPower complaint based on Globe’s motion to dismiss was to be expected. “We assumed since Day One that this will happen because the NTC is terribly scared of law suits from Globe and swallowed the Globe position — hook, line and sinker.”
“Globe has showed to all its subscribers that only whim and caprice is blocking the rollback to the old Unlimitxt rates,” said Cruz who pointed out that 98 percent of respondents in a poll hosted on Globe’s own website reject and protest the Unlitxt prices that are 100-150 percent higher than Unlimitxt.
In the settlement talks, Globe offered to TXTPower P100 for six days on Feb. 20 and P90 for six days on Feb. 23 that may be added to the current Unlitxt prices. But TXTPower rejected both offers, citing a hidden price increase in both offers.
Cruz said that “in fact, the two offers of Globe in the settlement talks prove that the company is able and capable of implementing a rollback or a rate reduction at any time. But it seems that hugely-profitable Globe is only interested in obtaining superprofits.”
TXTPower is demanding either a return to the Unlimitxt prices (P15 for one day, P25 for two days, and P50 for five days) or the addition of a P100 for ten days choice in the Unlitxt prices (P20 for one day, P40 for two day, P80 for four days, P10 for night-time and P15 for daytime).
“Globe suffered a monumental setback in the Unlitxt scam. They themselves damaged the trust and confidence of their customers by insisting on this price hike. We are not surprised to know that an estimated 1.3-million Globe subscribers have reportedly bought SIM cards of rival companies Smart and Sun since Feb. 1 when Globe raised prices,” said Cruz, who said the figure comes from reliable industry sources.

Everybody i know is switching to sun. but i dont care if others are going to smart as long as it’s not f**king GLOBE!
pipo / February 23rd, 2007, 6:59 pm
Txtpower dont give up! Have u forgotten that u were also helped Sun Cellular? When Globe & Smart asked NTC 2 stop Sun 24/7 wasnt it that fought for sun? Fighting for good is endless yet benificial. What do u think wil hapen if u stop fighting?
jobert / February 23rd, 2007, 7:01 pm
Para sa akin, mukhang may under the table d2 sa Globe at NTC. The only ways is well election na, alam nyo naman ang ibig kung sbhn TXTPower sa mga kumakandidato tayo humingi ng tulong. How about sa Imbestigador? e2 ay suggestions lamang to futher improve such research sa kamalian ng NTC at Globe. Ang gnagawa ko na self campaign ngayon is nag-room2room ako sa YahooMessenger at pinopost ko ang link na2 para makapagsaad cla ng comments and suggestions db? Join me sa campaign ko sa YahooMessenger as one meduim para mainform lahat ng mga Globe users na magparticipate.

Bkt pa nila idagdag ang P90/6 days? Eh ang saya saya na sa Sun! P150/30days unlimited txt plus 4 hours free voice call! Never ako magsusubscribe sa P90/6 days. Bkt? Wla na akong katx! Lahat lumipat na. Yung iba hnd nlng nagpapalod!
jobert / February 23rd, 2007, 7:30 pm
one thing that’s sure to happen. Globe will regret this. we will make sure of that.
the obvious, shameless and barefaced tactics they employed against us will backfire for sure.
NTC, magkano ba ang binayad ng Globe sa inyo. MGA INUTIL!!! MAGSI-RESIGN NA LANG KAYONG LAHAT. MGA WALANG SILBI.
hreynes / February 23rd, 2007, 8:36 pm
guys, here’s the number of a system Globe set up in Malacañang to receive complaints or comments about issues. I don’t know if it’s still working but we can try and flood it with texts. maybe someone will notice.
0917-8398462
lets try it
hreynes / February 23rd, 2007, 8:39 pm
balik smart ako, nag-globe lang naman ako to keep in touch with my friends na naluko at lumipat. i’m thinking of switching to sun (since most of them already did), but i’m not sure how reliable their 3g/gprs service is. i tried before, pero tuwing midnight lang nka connect ng maayos at sa smart P10/30mins lang.
aRC / February 23rd, 2007, 8:44 pm
ok folks, its time to leave globe telecom. i already reactivated my smart sim a while ago. may UNDER THE TABLE YAN kaya NTC dismiss the coplain filed by TxtPower.
ako_si_alfred / February 23rd, 2007, 8:51 pm
Ang sama talaga ng ginawa ng globe ano? Napakaarrogant! Maybe they feel being insulted by txtpower’s complaints. They maybe think that our demand is an insult to them because they think that we are directing them what to do
jobert / February 23rd, 2007, 9:27 pm
Guys nakatx ko c sir anthony a while ago and i suggested na magrarally tayo! Since most of us switched to other networks already, DALHIN ANG GLOBE SIMS natin. Bilangin at sunugin sa rally! We shud make instant decrease to Globe SIM base! Ayaw nla ng peace
rollen / February 23rd, 2007, 10:12 pm
rollen / February 23rd, 2007, 10:25 pm
Is this the end…? =(
Clive / February 23rd, 2007, 11:48 pm
if we give up now, it will certainly be the end. if we give up now, we’re admitting that Globe was right along and we were wrong. if we give up now, might as well disband txtpower.
we must continue the fight, we must not lose hope. we have the power to bring that bastard of a corporate giant down to its knees. i know txtpower can do it. txtpower has no shortage of brains, already ideas from rollen, jobert and the rest are coming in.
MOVE! WE SHALL PREVAIL!!!
hreynes / February 24th, 2007, 7:09 am
Globe is confident that we cannot do any distruction to its network. It underestimates what txtpower can do. Nakalimutan ata ng globe na around 10milion lng ang globe handyphone users! Smart more than doubled them having 24milions users!
rollen / February 24th, 2007, 7:41 am
Tahimik na ang txtpower! Takot nba sa globe? Kng ang NTC natakot sa globe posible ba na takot din ang txtpower?
rollen / February 24th, 2007, 11:08 am
txtpower convenors, i know that you are planning something. tell us what your plans are. surely you are not giving up the fight.
hreynes / February 24th, 2007, 12:11 pm
Go Fight Win!
pipo / February 24th, 2007, 2:10 pm
instead of bargaining with globe and ntc about the greediness of globe, why don’t txtpower take this opportunity to negotiate with Smart to come up with a unlimited texting plan for us people wanting the P50/5days plan of globe?
ast / February 24th, 2007, 8:05 pm
hey ast,
that’s a great idea you have. certainly worth a try. especially if Smart can update their P35/day 100txts to all networks. maybe make it 2 days.
what say you, txtpower convenors? you’ve been awfully quiet lately
hreynes / February 24th, 2007, 8:11 pm
hmmm… how about printing shirts with that globe haneprofit logo? and one implicating Naka Tanggap Pera (NTC)? im sure those shirts would be a hit!

Naka Tanggap Commission (NTC) pala… hehehe
pipo / February 24th, 2007, 8:56 pm
now, I would watch how you TXTPower will really affect the subscriber base of Globe with your threat to switch to other networks! Lets see what strength you really have if you have…. I have been reading the posts and there are only a handful of members, for sure you are now called the noisy minority!
michael_delos_reyes / February 24th, 2007, 8:59 pm
Wla na tlngang pag-asa. Iniwan na tayo ng txtpower. Bka hnd matanggap ng txtpower ang kabiguan at nahihiya na? Hanggang salita lng kasi sila. O ayan saan na ang other scenario na sinasabi nila na its for Globe and NTC to guess? Everythng is DEAD END na!

smart people are smart, i think in a few months (as always) may bago na naman silang offer para mag-attract ng subscribers away from globe at may idiotic promo na naman ang globe.
when other networks are having promos that would be cheap and affordable, we can always trust globe to do something stupid!
aRC / February 25th, 2007, 6:34 am
Smart must be laughing so hard at the stupidity of Globe.

i like that jerk_shop. that micheal is quite something isn’t he? but really now, let’s not stoop that low to his level. we’re more than that.
I believe patience is a virtue and that’s something we all need right now. we’ll have our chance sooner or later.
For now, let’s try to do what we can do.
Changing networks is one thing. It’s a good oppurtunity to show Globe what kind of mistake they made, and showing that we aren’t just all talk. and im sure due to globe’s greediness, other networks will try to take advantage of the current situation to turn the tides.
xavier214 / February 25th, 2007, 11:33 am
lol jerk_shop
hehe!
Xavier, michael does have his uses. he’s the resident clown of txpower. You have a very good point talking about patience. Smart will have a very weak marketing dept if they fail to capitalize on this.
hreynes / February 25th, 2007, 12:06 pm
Guys its our time to stop visiting to this FUCKING SITE! Wla taung mapala dto! Puro salita lng ang txtpower at napahiya lng tau sa pagpopost ng coments. Let us accept that our force is so weak enough to pick even bird’s feather. Txtpower is imbecile also!
rollen / February 25th, 2007, 1:24 pm
rollen… pls don’t forget who our enemy is. or have u gone over to the other side. think. this is what globe is wanting… for us to turn against each other and forget that Globe is actually the root of this all. we didn’t create the problem. globe did.
anyway, look at today’s Inquirer pages. One could see that at least Txtpower did achieve something. Full page ads advertising Smart’s 25 million subscribers. and the ads are several composed of several pages saying the same thing.
Funny thing is… i couldn’t even recall seeing an ad from globe.
so let’s relish this moment that as each day passes that Globe thinks it has won the battle… it is actually losing subscribers in the process.
pipo / February 25th, 2007, 2:38 pm
i was browsing through globe’s website (don’t really know why) then i bump in to this:
http://www.myglobe.com.ph/myglobeportal/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7040&whichpage=1
i know its old but still, na sa sarili nilang bakuran yung uprising ng subscribers di pa rin sila nag-rereact?!
to quote a guy: SULIT ba tawag niyo sa P80/4days compared sa P50/5days?????? Talino niyo naman!!!!!!
i still believe in txtpower, and i feel like something good is on its way. either globe would slip & fall on its head, then eventually die after so much agonizing pain. or…
aRC / February 25th, 2007, 4:54 pm
Rollen, we understand your frustration. I admit that TXTPower’s silence is deafening. I hope they are planning something big.
That was a nice post aRC. That goes to show you gaano kakapal ng mukha ng Globe to defy their own subscribers. Even logos from txtpower were posted there.
TXTPower, this is my second time to ask this question. What next?

An Email to NTC
To all NTC officials
We are very displeased of what’s going on in the case of Globe unlimited texting rate hikes which surprised us so much since we know already that Globe decleared its unli 15, 25 and 50 as permanent but how come that you tolerated Globe to deceive us? It hiked the rates but until now it seems that you have no power to settle the matter. Globe knows that the new unlimited texting upset and provoked its subscribers. We are wondering why it seems you are in the side of Globe. How come that you are still happy to see that the issue remains unsolve? You know that since Feb 1 protests and chaos are happening but we have never seen until now a clear and peaceful resolutions. Globe is still arrogant and reluctant to rollback the old unlimitxt eventhough it knows that it loses millions of its subscribers. Smart subscribers as of now are more than 26 million which is a solid proof that Globe betrayal is painful for most of us. We cannot patronize the network that from time to time sneaks us to fulfill its greedy intentions.
Now to call your attention, this is not the time to be one sided eventhough you know that something is wrong on the other party. Globe greedy intensions are endless as long as no body hinders it. We are expecting you as regulatory body to bring justice on this matter but it seems you are treating Globe as kid. This is not the time to question TXTPower’s legality since you know that Globe even questioned the legality of your two orders last time. I think NTC should now turn its attention to public disagreement and dispute againts Globe Telecom. Search the complaints against Globe unlimited texting at Yahoo or Google and you’ll see that not only TXTpower and not only few are complaining. NTC should open its eyes wide to weigh the situations. Globe aspirations for gaining great pofits are endless but what matters most is that NTC should set the limit! I would like to quote Globe comparison between UNLIMITXT and UNLITXT
“What’s the difference between UNLIMITXT and the new Globe Unlimited Texting Services?
Globe’s All New Unlimited Texting Services recognizes the different needs of various Unlimitxt users. With this, Globe has further improved its Unlimited Texting offers by customizing its Unlimited Texting Services to suit the diverse lifestyles of the Unlimitxter while ensuring that you enjoy value-for-money Unlimited Texting offers.
Starting February 2007, you will now be able to enjoy regular Unlimited Texting through UNLITXT; Off peak Unlimited Texting with Dayshift and Nightshift Unlimited Texting Services; and with Globe TXTPLUS, enjoy Unlimited GHP-GHP texting PLUS P0.75/text to other networks! Should you need more info regarding our exciting new Unlimited Texting Services, please text INFO to 2870.
”
are Globe subsrcibers enjoying the price hike? Who are those claimed by Globe who patronize and enjoy its so-called the benefits of UNLITXT? For sure they are those people who belong to middle and upper class, those people who are not JUSTICE minded.

of course globe simply ignored the results of the poll and continues to give the cold shoulder to their subscribers. globe’s marketing department must be staffed by idiots.

To redkinoko
We don’t care who you are and we are not interested to know you. Do you know that it is more advantage for us to leave Globe and to switch to other networks? Yes indeed!!! First, we can save money since sun offers the cheapest UNLIMITED CALL AND TEXT RATES. Second, it’s more convenient to our Globe SIMS to be used only in hacking. Did you know that we are enjoying switching to other networks? Oh and yeah you should be interested on us because we are the HACKERS of Globe. We are hundred thousands!! Haha remember redkinoko only UNLIMITXT is lost on us but not FREE BROWSING AND HACKING. Haha Globe cannot stop us!! We are more intelligent than its technical team. It’s true that Globe discovered the ?type=send format that we have used to enter sites outside Globe but the latest hacking formats is mysterious. It is unlimited browsing. Imagine redkinoko, Globe is charging P.15/KB rates on its mobile internet but for us it’s free.
Guys enjoy hacking!!! For Sun we have UNLIMITED CALL AND TEXT but for Globe we have UNLIMITED FREE BROWSING AND HACKING!! Hackers rule!!

Good news guys! SmartLoad has now P15 denomination! Magsmart na. Wow reasonable tlga sa smart to have P15 kasi ang 24 hours unli nla P15 lng. Haha. Bad news to Globe kht my P15 autoloadmax pa sla bumaba ang kita ng mga autoload retailers!
jobert / March 1st, 2007, 2:43 pm
e-load, expressload and autoloadmax retailer ako. i would just like to confirm na bumaba ang nagpapaload ng autoloadmax. marami ang lumilipat ng smart or suncell.
some are reluctant at the moment to shift to smart or suncell kasi waiting din sila sa textmates nila. but their sims are already on standby and it will be just a matter of time for them to transfer concertedly.
nakakahiya naman talaga ginawa ng globe. may poster pa ako sa harap ng shop nakalagay for good na iyong unlimitext offer then bigla nabago.
lejal / March 1st, 2007, 6:32 pm
What i see is a trickle of transferees, soon it will be a small stream growing into a brook then a stream.
Finally, a mighty river such as the Nile and the Amazon.
This is how Globe subscribers will migrate to Smart or Sun. The local Sun shop here in uptown Cebu is always full now of subscribers getting new sims.
I’m satisfied with the performance of my postpaid sun line now. Of course, if Sun gives us problems lagot sila sa TXTPower.
hreynes / March 1st, 2007, 8:47 pm
I’m a prepaid subscriber to all networks: Globe, Smart, and Sun.
With what Globe has done to us, (imagine, I was a subscriber of Globe for 8 or so years na;) pero ngayon talagang iiwan ko na sila at magmimigrate na fully to Smart and Sun.
Guys, let karmic justic prevail. I just hope that we encourage every known Globe subscriber to stop using the unlimited texting service if not shift to the other networks.

Pangtanggap na lang ng text ang Globe ko.
Ederic / March 17th, 2007, 3:03 am
hey, is there a limit to the number of messages we can post? why can’t i post na dun sa “doormat” article?
hreynes / March 30th, 2007, 9:55 pm
whatever.
TXTPower, I ask this question again, why are you so quiet? despite my disagreements with rollen, i’m beginning to agree with him in one respect, i’m beginning to lose faith in TXTPower. Nothing has been happening. Ederic and other convenors said that meetings have been held, even asking for understanding because according to him, convenors have their own personal lives. Well, you’ve had one month to rest, and now my other question,
NOW WHAT?
hreynes / March 30th, 2007, 10:02 pm
So TXTPower, do you have any intentions at all of replying to my question?
Or are you content to abandon what you say you are fighting for?
hreynes / April 1st, 2007, 6:10 pm
WAla na Hreynes they abandoned us… the fight is over wag na tayo umasa sa TXTPower… ako din I already lost hope sa TXTPower… Nice game TXTPower abandoning us like wet dogs in the streets… TXTPOWER Im sorry to say but YOU FUCK UP!!!! JERK SHITS!
jerk_shop / April 2nd, 2007, 1:38 pm
you know jerk_shop, i have to admit it. you’re right. TXTpower is a hollow image. No substance at all. All bark and no bite. And to think I tried to defend them from rollen and jobert. not even a word of thanks.
you’re right, they’re a buncha jerks after all.
idiots.
hreynes / April 2nd, 2007, 5:33 pm
let us leave them Hreynes.. I also defend and believe in their words… But in the end they abandonded us and never left a single message. They have their families outside txtpower they say…
yah we understand that part but abandoning us is not a nice thing to do. especially we support and believe them in the words they say…..
jerk_shop / April 2nd, 2007, 9:15 pm
I guess the’re too busy with the Satur Ocampo business. With all due respect to Mr. Ocampo, he’s not the main reason for my joining TXTPower, whatever their homepage says.
Crap!
hreynes / April 2nd, 2007, 9:35 pm
Let us leave this site buddy…. Even if we talk trash to them hnd rin nila papakinggan tignan mo sabihin na nating holy-week ala office or less work ngayon pero they have their own computer units connected onto the Internet. It means they can visit this site anytime kht asa bahay sila.
It certainly seems that way, jerk_shop. Nawawalan na sila ng credibility. They’re not even replying to our posts. Not even an acknowledgement.
double crap!
hreynes / April 3rd, 2007, 6:36 pm
Basta Hreynes… pinabayaan na tayo, they abandoned us ng biglaan, kht maliit na post lang na may content na later wala clang nilalagay… wala tlaga buddy d na tayo pinapansin pero seems like e2 lang ang way na mag-exchange tayo ng comments at point of view natin…
TXTPower=crap
crap=1/0(cannot divide db? lets just say its infinity)
jerk_shop / April 3rd, 2007, 8:19 pm
